Council Information

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic family service organization formed in New Haven, Connecticut in 1882 by Father Michael McGivney with the idea of:
  • Aiding one another in times of sickness or death;
  • Strengthening themselves and each other in the Faith;
  • Strengthening families and family life;
  • Being a strong pillar of support for their priests and bishops;
  • Being of service to Church and community by coming to the aid of those most in need in society.

Council Meetings

Council Officers Meeting: 7:00 PM the Tuesday prior to Business Meetings
Council Business Meeting: 7:00 PM of the 2nd Thursday of the Month.
Assembly Business Meeting: 7:00 PM on the 4th Thursday of the Month.

About Our Council

Msgr. Leonard A. Bauer Council 1028 was chartered in Belleville, Illinois in 1905.  Council 1028 is aligned with the Central Cluster of Parishes in Belleville: St. Mary, St. Augustine, and St. Peter's Cathedral.
